These Chocolate Chip Cookies are a classic and delicious treat that are perfect for any time of day. With their soft and chewy texture, rich buttery flavor, and studding of melty chocolate chips, these cookies are sure to be a hit with the whole family.

Ingredients

  • 2 and 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup of white sugar
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 and 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
  3. In a separate large mixing bowl, beat 1 cup of unsalted butter, 3/4 cup of white sugar, and 3/4 cup of brown sugar together with an electric mixer or stand mixer until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Beat in 2 large eggs, one at a time, then beat in 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and beat until just combined.
  6. Stir in 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
