Ingredients
- 1 pound of elbow macaroni
- 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 4 cups of whole milk
- 2 cups of grated Beecher's Flagship Cheese
- 1 teaspoon of mustard powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook 1 pound of elbow macaroni in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain in a colander and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat.
- Add 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour and whisk until combined. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the mixture is golden and fragrant.
- Gradually add 4 cups of whole milk, whisking constantly, until the mixture is smooth and thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in 2 cups of grated Beecher's Flagship Cheese, 1 teaspoon of mustard powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until combined.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
